Accompany and assist assigned guests throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. Sit with their guest during dinner, dance with them, and participate in activities with them. Volunteer buddies must be at least 18 years old. It is encouraged to dress up as a buddy! Wear a suit, shirt, and tie, a prom dress, or a formal dress you have!   

Welcome guests, take their coats and in return give them the corresponding number to go with their coats for the end-of-the-night pick-up. During the event, you will assist if any Kings/Queens leave early. When the event is over you will assist with getting coats back to the guests and handing out swag bags. 

Serve food in the main event space. Refill water, lemonade, and food warmers if needed. Clear tables of finished dinner plates as the Kings and Queens finish their meals.

Serve the meal for volunteers, monitor and refill water, lemonade, and food warmers as needed. Please clear their dinner plates and tidy the tables.

You will greet parents and caregivers as they enter the respite area.

Help guests select and pin on their flowers, or place them on their wrists.

Welcome each guest to the Shoeshine Station. Help them to find an open seat. Chat with them while you pamper them and make them feel special.

Assist with getting the correct number of people into the limo as they load and unload for limo rides. Holding doors and assisting with getting guests on and off.

Help create a welcoming first impression by guiding guests and volunteers as they arrive. Direct traffic safely, assist with parking flow, and ensure accessible parking spaces are available for those who need them. Remain attentive to safety, provide friendly greetings, and help guests find their way to the event entrance.

Maintain a safe and orderly environment and remain alert to any safety concerns.

Welcome each guest to the salon station for hair and makeup. Chat with them while you pamper them and make them feel special. Experience in this department is preferred.

Support meal preparation and service to ensure a smooth dining experience for our Kings and Queens. Assist with setting up food stations, keeping warmers stocked. Refill beverages as needed, help with cleanup, and work together with the team to keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently throughout the evening.

Are you quick at thinking on your feet in chaotic situations? This role is for you! In this role, you will welcome the Kings and Queens and assist them with getting their lanyards for the night. You will then assist them with getting paired with a buddy for the night. Once all guests are checked in, we will have you cheer on the Kings and Queens down the red carpet and/or be a volunteer floater.

Encourage Kings and Queens to sing their hearts out in the Karaoke Room! You will help them choose their song and show them how to follow along. As they are singing, you are dancing along and cheering them on!

Spend time with guests who may have become over-stimulated on the dance floor or in other areas of the prom. Interact with them by participating in sensory activities, singing or listening to calming music, or simply providing them with some quiet time.

Our Kings and Queens love to look back on photos from the night and remember the special details! Be part of making this happen by being on our photography team. Roam the event and take pictures of all the fun that is taking place. Photography experience is recommended.

Be a flexible helper wherever needed throughout the event. Assist various teams with setup, guest support, transitions between activities, and cleanup. Stay attentive to leadership direction and be ready to step in at a moment’s notice to ensure every area runs smoothly and our Kings and Queens feel celebrated and cared for.

Want to serve but can’t be there for the event? We would love for you to join our set-up team or clean-up team! Set-up will take place throughout the day on Friday, February 13. All clean-up will be Saturday, February 14th, beginning at 10 AM.
