Our Beliefs

At Highland Church, our main beliefs are based on the Bible and the Assemblies of God's core truths. These beliefs are the foundation of our teachings and how we live our lives.

The Bible is Our Guide:

We believe the Bible is God's Word and the ultimate authority for us. It tells us how to live, and whenever we need direction, we ask, "What does the Bible say?" We read and study it regularly because it's the basis of everything we believe.

2 Timothy 3:16 // 1 Thessalonians 2:1

Jesus is the Son of God:

We trust that Jesus is God's Son and the Savior. He lived without sin, died on the cross for us, and offers salvation through grace to all who believe in Him. Jesus rose from the dead, and He's the only way to God. We also believe in the Holy Spirit's baptism for believers and He will return to earth.

John 14:6

New Life in Christ:

God created us to have a close relationship with Him, but sin got in the way. Through God's grace, we can be forgiven and have a new life by repenting and having faith in Jesus. Everyone will face judgment, but believers will be with God, in Heaven forever.

2 Corinthians 5:17 // Matthew 16:25

Empowered by the Holy Spirit:

Just like Jesus promised, we believe every believer can experience the Holy Spirit's power in their lives today (Acts 1:4-5). Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit by asking God and living for Him.

Acts 1:8 // Ephesians 5:18
