Kids Ministry at Highland Church
At Highland Church our kids (infant through 6th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they get to know Jesus better in creative and relevant ways.
We would love to see you and your family visit Highland Kids.
Your first visit
Here's what to expect when visiting Highland Kids for the first time:
First, find the check-in center to the right as you enter the church. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then help you find the age-appropriate room for your child. Kids 4K and under will go straight to their classroom. Kids in K-6th will be dismissed from big church after the song portion of the service.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Home address
- Cell phone number (in case we need to contact you during service)
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How check-in works
Before Service: You can check-in your child at the check in center located to the right as you enter the main doors. After finding your child’s name in the database, your child will receive a nametag and you will receive a parent tag with a matching code, exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the parent tag for pick up at the end of service. As you check in, make sure you have the correct parent/guardian chosen as checking in the child since that individual’s cell phone number is what we’ll use if you’re child needs you during service.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your parent tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, a Highland Kids team member will text the parent/guardian’s number printed on your child’s name tag. If contacted, please head straight to your child’s room.
Highland Church offers childcare during service for infants. But we also have a Mothers’ Room for mothers who need to nurse or sit in a quiet calm space with their infant.
