Welcome to Highland Kids!

June 30th, 2009

Love God.  Love others.  Love church.  Change the world.

Highland Kids exists to encourage kids to do these four things.  Our awesome team of directors, teachers and helpers are here to make a lasting impression for God in kids’ lives.  With thorough background checks on our volunteers and a great check-in/out system, Highland Kids is a safe place for kids to begin building their faith in Christ.  Come check us out!

If you have any questions please contact Pastor Laura.  laura@highlandag.org

Books of the Bible

It’s important for kids to read their Bibles.  Here’s a great song to help them navigate the Word of God.  Kids Rock kids who memorize and sing this song to a Kids Rock leader will earn 100pts for the Rock Shop. The song is from The Bigsby Show.

Highland’s Got Talent

June 18th, 2010

Wednesday, July 14 at 6:30pm come ready to be amazed by the extraordinary talents the kids of Highland Church possess.  A donation will be taken to help raise money for kids’ Bible camp.  It’s like two birds with one stone.  You get to help kids go to camp AND be thoroughly entertained while you do.  Not to give anything away, but some of the talents include piano, drums, jump rope and animal noises.  Need I say more?

If kids are interested in participating in the show, auditions will be held June 20 and 27 after church.  Sign up for an audition slot in the Kids Rock room.  If kids are not available for either of the audition days, special exceptions can be made.

This will be a show you and your kids won’t want to miss!

Kids of Courage

June 2nd, 2010

Just found this website that is fantastic!  It’s the Voice of the Martyrs for kids called Kids of Courage.  It is a great resource for helping kids learn more about the persecuted church.  If you sign up for their newsletter you can download about 15, 50 page magazines on different countries and Christians in those countries.  Very cool.  I loved the Beliefs and Activities pages.

Holsom Comics

May 26th, 2010

What a cool way to learn about living life for Christ!  There are even discussion guides so that families can talk about these things at home together.  Check out Holsom Comics.

Sunday, September 6th Kids Rock will launch an all out investigation of the truth.  Along with Mr. Trench and the Commissioner, kids will spend 12 weeks investigating 16 basic truths of Christianity.  They will investigate various faith facts such as, “The Bible is the Word of God and His plan for me.” And, “With God’s help, I can become more like Jesus.”

All investigators, Kindergarden-6th grade, are welcome to join in Faith Case: Investigating the Truth at any time during the 12 week case to help us on our faith investigation.
